Fairfax Bonds

Did you all know how many people live in this area that once attended Fairfax? It's amazing! I'm sure there are more than we know about, but Saturday evening we had a big group over at "our" place and Tim cooked out burgers. Those in attendance included Robin and Jeremy K., Jesse and Lisa L., Andy and Melody F., Mike and Jennifer B., and the kiddos! We had such a good time catching up with everyone and talking about old times at Fairfax. I hope we get together like this more often. Can you believe how many pregnant women there are right now?!! I know so many and three out of the five women at our get together are expecting. Robin is due today with Baby K2, Melody is due in May with their second, and Lisa is due in late July with their third!

On another note, I think Tim and I have decided to place membership at Greenville Oaks in Allen. We have visited SO many churches and it feels good to finally settle on a place. It's the church where my mom and Nana go (this will be especially nice once we have kids). The preacher, Keith Maloney, is great and we also enjoy the worship led by Adam Looney. Tim and I plan to get involved in the praise team and I also plan to be a part of the Children's Ministry. Jesse and Lisa are also thinking of placing membership...it will be nice to get to worship with a couple we already know :).

Happy Birthday, Tim!

So today is Tim's 28th birthday and it is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day outside!! Lucky him...it was cold and rainy just three weeks ago on my birthday. Spring is definitely in the air and the trees are blossoming...such a nice time of year here in Texas. We don't have major plans for his special day, but we are going to go out to dinner at the restaurant of his choice, which will probably Texas Land and Cattle (a steakhouse for those of you not familiar with it). Tomorrow he is going to see some guy movie with Mike Belknap and then we are having a Fairfax C of C reunion at our place with several couples who went to church there and now live in this area. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone! I'm sure I'll update about that soon. If you get a chance, please send Tim an email (emtkerby@hotmail.com) or give him a call, so he feels that people remembered him today :)! On another note, Spring Break has started so I have an entire week off with no substituting. My goal is to get my application and resume together so that i can apply for teaching positions the following week. Keep me in your prayers!
