1. The Da Vinci Code (Dan Brown) - Couldn't put it down.
2. Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen)- Excellent!!
3. To Kill A Mockingbird (Harper Lee)
8. Anne of Green Gables (L.M. Montgomery) - A classic!! I grew up on the miniseries!

Let me preface this by saying that I love the Lord of the Rings movies and Harry Potter, but I've never joined the craze in reading the books. I'd be much more inclined to read Harry Potter than LOTR, though.
