Fun Times with Avery

As most of you know, I have been working as a nanny this summer for my friend's little newborn girl, Avery. She is the sweetest baby...I just can't get enough of her! Her mom asked me if I could watch her yesterday and then keep her overnight because she and her husband had a work event to attend. I was really excited about being a pretend mommy for a little over 24 hours. She brought her to my house yesterday morning around 10am and we had lots of fun in between feedings and naps. Then last night, I met Tim, my brother, my mom, and my grandma for dinner at Salt Grass. She was so enthralled with all of the people and the lights that she didn't even scream when I took her bottle away to burp her (which is her typical routine)! We brought her home and gave her a bath in the sink for fun before getting her ready for bed. She was asleep by 9 and slept until about 6:30 this morning. Of course, I got up a few times last night to put her paci back in her mouth so she wouldn't stir so much and make noises. Tim didn't even hear her! It must be a maternal instinct to hear babies. Anyway, she was in a great mood this morning too! I hated to have to give her back to her mom just after noon. Luckily, I think we will get to do this again sometime and I am thankful that the experience only made me want my own even more!! Here are a few cute pictures we took with her.
