Starter Wife

Did anyone watch the premiere of The Starter Wife on USA last night? It stars Debra Messing who plays a woman who has just been told by her movie mogul husband that he wants a divorce. She is suddenly ousted from her charities and social clubs and many of the women in the Hollywood scene snub her because they don't want to be assoicated with a "starter wife." I thought it was very cute and am looking forward to next week's episode. The best part was that many scenes take place in Malibu, where she's living for the summer, and they are filmed at some of my favorite hang out places. She's living in The Colony, which is an actual exclusive community for the rich and famous located right down the street from Pepperdine. There were even several scenes with Pepperdine in the background! So cool!

On a separate note, my second anniversary is just over a week away and I don't have a clue what to get Tim. Any ideas? The traditional 2nd anniversary gift is cotton. I like traditions and so I would like to follow this theme if at all possible. Let me know what you think! Hope you all have a great weekend and a wonderful start to June!

Sammie got me flannel sheets! (how romantic?!)

I got him a cotton towel with a new shower head that jet-shoots water on your spine. Feels like a hot water massage! It's great for those aching shoulders, too!

Well, I have thought and thought but I can only come up with very practical gifts for the 2nd anniversary. Like Karin said, underwear is always a great choice! Or, socks. How 'bout Q-Tips? Hmmmm....Guess I'm no help. :) The great thing about Tim is that he will be more excited to be celebrating the occasion than he will be about ANY gift you could give him. He is CRAZY-in-love with you! -- Mom

saw like 20 minutes fo the Starter Wife but then I realized it was 9:30 and I couldn't keep my eyes open. I like Messing so I might give it a try...

on a separate note... 2 years already!! I remember all of us sitting around Kelli's house and me doing my best to not look interested in wedding planning :P
