Ok, I know I might sound like an old person talking about the weather, but that is seriously the BIG story down here in the DFW area! We had an ice storm hit us this past weekend, so we were stuck inside for almost three days (talk about cabin fever!). We were finally able to get out Monday night and yesterday, but we woke up this morning with a mixture of sleet and snow. Granted this is not much snow, but the sleet causes the roads to be a total mess. All of the schools in the area are closed, so I guess it will be another day inside for me. Looks like this weather is headed to the DC area, so some of you may get some winter weather afterall. We did get to watch several movies over the past few days...The Illusionist, In Her Shoes, Inside Man, and Hidden Places. If you haven't seen it yet, you should definitely rent In Her Shoes. I thought it was funny, but also very touching, especially if you have a sister.
Just to give you all an update, I got a call on Monday afternoon letting me know that I did not get the job at the doctor's office. I was pretty bummed. He told me that they think I have an excellent resume, but that the doctor really wants to hire someone with management experience. I do understand where they are coming from, but I wish they could give me a chance. I mean how do you get management experience unless someone gives you a chance? Oh well. I'm going to an orientation tomorrow morning (unless it is cancelled due to weather) for substitute teaching. Hopefully, that will give me some work until I find something more permanent. Thanks to all of you who have been praying for us and please continue to do so!

It has to be agony for you not having a job yet...not being where you thought you'd be by now....I distinctly remember you and Tim saying before you left that you'd let God lead you and show you the way...keep listening, I'm sure He is talking to you...keep faith- He will provide!
MISS YOU
we love you!
It flurried here yesterday day....just a little bit.
I can't believe I'm actually envying the weather in Texas -- in January -- because it is snowing there and not here. But I am! Even though ice is not as fun as snow, when you're through with winter, will you please send it our way? We could use some winter up here! :)
Sorry about the job -- but I know God has something awesome in store for you. I'm not very patient, so it is hard for me to wait, too, but every time I have waited for God, he has blessed me beyond anything I could have imagined!
We'll keep praying for you -- and send us some snow, okay?
:)
i want snow!
Ok Jill, I had to go to Theresa's blog to get to you....it would not let me from my site!!! I wrote you a comment on my blog as well! I miss you.....I need to mapquest Dallas from here and see how long it takes to get there! Are you homesick from the DC area??? I am homesick for Tulsa but I do like it here a lot!
I really had a good talk with God today, and when I say good.....I thought it was good:) I know God always presents what he wants for me in HIS timing....when HE wants something to happen, and so I have to always remember that!...and sometimes I forget, but I know he has something planned....and I believe that for you as well.
I also want to add this: You are such a kind hearted person....I was thinking about how when you move, life goes on when you leave, and the calls and emails become less, and you feel lonely....I have always been so bad at keeping in touch, but you have always remembered birthdays and sent cards and I just want to thank you for being the person God made you to be!!! You are so special and I know God has something GREAT planned for you!!! Love you!!!!
We had snow flurries last night so small that you might as well call them mist. They quickly turned to rain. I don't know how we keep missing out on all this snow that keeps falling everywhere else in the country. Argh! :)
A job will come.
A job will come.
A job will come.
A job will come.
Repeat as necessary. (Sometimes it helps me. Other times it just makes me want to hit something. But it's worth a try.) ;)
send snow our way!! I want some snow days!!
